The Quiet One

 By Robert W. Cluney

There is a man out way

He never babbles on

He never has too much to say

I call him John, the quiet one

When he speaks his voice is low

I have never heard him shout

I have never heard an angry word

From John, the quiet one

I know there could be a better way

On this planet we live on

If we could take an hour a day

To be the quiet one
